The morning my best friend drove off, moving several hours away to start a new chapter in her life’s journey, I cried. And then I found myself, with my little camera, headed to a charming little park nearby to see what it had to offer to console my aching heart.
I must say that it became a challenge now and again as I attempted to focus through blurred eyes as they welled with tears, but I did feel better upon leaving the park than when I arrived.
My BFF is moving 14 hours away in October. I will be feeling the same shortly.
Beautiful photos!
Thank you for your kind words. My heart goes out to you.
Mother Nature is a great healer. She gives us plants to heal our wounds and beauty to heal our hearts.
Thanks Ann.
I couldn’t agree more.
they are great photos. i bet when you take a second look better, you’ll agree with me. people do come and go. i guess it’s set up that way, so our heart can have room for others in our life. cheer up, girl.
Thank you.
Hi t,
(Is that how you like to be addressed?)
Seventeen years ago i moved from NJ to MD and left my best friend. We talk every day and Skype. I hope you are feeling a little less distressed.
And thank you for liking the photo of my cat today. π maureen
Hello Maureen.
I do go by t π
Thanks so much for sharing your experience. This is the second time this friend has moved away. The first time was waaaaaaaaaay back when we were in 5th Grade. We have always stayed in touch. She had moved back to this area when her dad got sick with Cancer. (He passed away a year ago.) It is just more difficult now as my family has moved away and leaves no one for hugging during good times and bad.
But I will get by. And I get to hug her this evening as she is up to move her stuff to where she is now.
Thanks again.
